![]() I believe the road to peace and people being able to live freely continues to be long, chaotic and full of misunderstanding and violence. I believe that colonizers have been wreaking havoc and pitting Jewish/Israeli, Palestinian, Muslim, nomadic, and so many other people against each other for centuries, actually millennia. I am constantly thinking of everyone I know in Israel and wondering if they and their neighbors are safe and know that even if they are physically ok, mentally and emotionally, they are wrecked. I am devastated by the horrific killing, torture, kidnapping and holding of Israeli citizens by Hamas. I owe a lot to the people in my life and I don't want to make excuses about why I couldn't take a couple minutes a day to share a name and a quick anecdote about why they mean so much to me. I removed it because this is important to me. * I initially put the word "probably" in parentheses before "changes this year" - giving myself an out if I didn't stick to my goal. Thank you to my siblings who have become friends and mentors and who I appreciate year round. Mostly, they've let me practice by "coaching" them for their entire lives. ![]() They proofread, brainstorm, and engage with my content. They've connected me with teachers, partners and clients. Jesse Blum and Alyce Blum, CPC, ICF iPEC have built communities and their careers by connecting with and helping people.Įach has reminded me that starting something new takes time and that it's worthwhile to do it right instead of overnight. I have to start with 2 people I've known forever and who have both taught me so much about building a #reputation, a #network and a thriving #business. But that changes this year!* Inspired by Lauren Lefkowitz, over the next 30 days, I'm going to highlight people who have helped, supported, advised, partnered with and pushed me to be my best professionally (and personally.) I've never successfully completed a 30 day #gratitudechallenge. My #questions, #organization, #communicationskills, #creativity and #humor were my best assets as I evolved as a product manager (turned marketing manager - more about that team another day!) and I continue to use all of them to be successful in my coaching and community building work. I also learned that I have a lot to offer, even (and maybe especially) when I'm not the subject matter expert. I learned that I love working with and being taught by other PMs, SEs and engineers - big thank you to Jeevan Patil Rob McMahon Jagdish Girimaji Chandrodaya Prasad Jagadeesh(Jaggi) Narayanaswamy Andre Laurent Stephen Levendusky Firoze Doctor and so many more brilliant minds. ![]() Being hired as a #productmanager at Cisco was a pivotal moment in my career and my life. ![]() I'm shouting out the people who have impacted my life and career in so many positive ways - some who I haven't been in contact with for years (so this is also a great way to say hello and reconnect!)ĭeeply grateful for Sumit Vakil and Suresh Katukam for believing in me as a second year student at UCLA Anderson School of Management with no engineering background but a lot of enthusiasm around learning and collaborating. just to name a fewĭay 3 of my 30 day #gratitudechallenge. Jaishree Subramania, Oren Singer, Yaniv Katan, Ido Glazer, Raakhee Mistry, Greg Dalzell, Sara Steffen Lauren Friedman Brian Robertson Jessica Highsmith Tarah Hartzler Beth Dannemiller Melita Kahrmann Linas Dauksa Inbar Lasser-Raab Alexandra Rosen Sangita Patel Kiran Ghodgaonkar Jonathan Hayon Allison Park Jolene Tam. I applaud and thank the folks below for influencing my life in immeasurable ways - from marketing strategy and communications skills, to team facilitation, negotiation, finding balance, creativity and so much more! During my time on the ever evolving team, I was so fortunate to learn from and be influenced by so many incredible marketers and humans. Joining the Cisco #marketing team was the move I needed to make to bring my passion for connecting people, ideas and analytics to the forefront. Day 6 of sharing my #gratitude for people who have impacted me and my career by helping me to become a stronger leader, a better marketer and a more confident, happy person.
